Licensed Electricians Serving California

California Electrical Code

California adopts the National Electrical Code (NEC) with state-specific amendments through the California Electrical Code (CEC), published as Part 3 of Title 24 of the California Building Standards Code. The CEC is updated on a three-year cycle. California also requires compliance with Title 24 Part 6 energy standards, which affect lighting, electrical vehicle charging infrastructure, and solar-ready requirements for new construction and major renovations.
